Transforming Your Car with a Raspberry Pi-Powered Radio
I’m passionate about single-prop planes, so I decided to create a console for my car that embodies this interest. The console provides information about the vehicle's attitude (pitch and roll), humidity, temperature, and speed in knots.
Powered by a Raspberry Pi, the system benefits from the operating system’s built-in features, such as Bluetooth, which are commonly expected in audio systems.
The Raspberry Pi is also equipped with a SIM module for internet access and a GPS, ensuring constant location tracking.
This setup opens up various possibilities, such as interfacing with the vehicle's CAN bus for additional data, integrating more sensors, and enhancing vehicle security. For example, imagine requiring a fingerprint to start the car— this is now a feasible enhancement.
